Nickel H&R HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON .32 S&W Revolver TRAPPER HUNTER TARGET
Double Action Auto Ejecting Self Defense Revolver!
Here we present a Harrington & Richardson Top Break Double Action Revolver chambered in .32 S&W made in Worcester, Massachusetts circa the early 1900s. In 1875 Gilbert Harrington and former Frank Wesson employee, William Augustus Richardson, formed the new Harrington & Richardson Company. In 1888 the firm was incorporated as The Harrington & Richardson Arms Company. Their original capital investment was $75,000. Harrington was president, Richardson was treasurer, and George F. Brooks was secretary.
This 5-shot revolver would have been ideal to carry in a holster in the woods or to take to the range for target practice. While some of this model were geared toward concealment with shorter barrels and smaller grips, this revolver features a long, 6-inch barrel and fuller, longer grips. This would have made a great sidearm for a trapper or hunter.
The overall condition is Very Fine. The bore is bright with nice rifling. The action is strong and tight. Virtually complete nickel finish with excellent case colors and blued accents. A fine revolver indeed from the 20th century that would be a great supplement to any collection!
