RAF Marked WWII British Enfield 2 MK I 38 Revolver
FINE Condition “RAF” Marked & Dated “1933”!
Here we present a rare “RAF” Marked British Enfield No. 2 MK I Revolver in .38 S&W, made in 1933 in England. The Enfield MK I was developed by the British Government after the first World War to be a smaller and lighter sidearm that would be preferable to the large Webley service revolver they had used previously.
This one is rare as it was one of the few issued to Royal Air Force pilots prior to and during the Second World War. It is also whole, unmodified and completely matching. Many of these were made double action only and had the hammer spurs removed, but this one is still intact. Like other British military weapons, this one is littered with proof and acceptance marks and is a fantastic study.
The overall condition is very fine. The original blue finish is 95% complete. The markings are clear and legible. The hardwood grips are in great shape. The bore is excellent, shiny bright with strong rifling. The action is excellent. Here is a wonderful piece of World War 2 R.A.F. history!
